The Facebook Files Episode List from The Journal podcast

The Wall Street Journal was the first to obtain documents revealing the inner workings of Facebook’s decision making, and the newspaper’s daily podcast, “The Journal,” has put together an 8-part series called “The Facebook Files” that turns much of that reporting into gripping audio. That’s what we want to talk about this week (even though it’s not lost on us that we all need to keep our Facebook accounts to enjoy this discussion together, heh). I’ve tried to keep up with the news trickling out about what we’re learning from those documents, and thought I knew the key details. But I’ve been shocked by some of the revelations. For example, the company kept a literal white list of famous and powerful users, and granted them leeway when they broke the platform’s terms of use. Meanwhile, Mark Zuckerberg was publicly insisting that no such special treatment existed. So take a listen to “The Facebook Files” and let us know what you think. Does hearing the audio version of this reporting reveal anything new to you? -Jake Lucas New York Time Podcast Club Moderator ///Click on Read Full Review for the episode link///
