"Buxton’s ramble-chats might be funny, warm, truthful or sad, but also throw up some of the finest comedy moments in podcastland."

"...it was a relief to discover that not only has Buxton retained his endearing, puerile wit, but he is capable of effortlessly shifting gear into more serious territory."

"As an interviewer and a host he has an undeniable gift: he’s incredibly pleasant to listen to. Buxton’s interviews are gentle, funny, compassionate, interested – it’s almost as if you could learn how to be a better conversationalist just from listening to him. The conversations move from the personal to the cultural with incredible ease, and lack any stiltedness or worse, in-jokey comedian culture jags. I know I’m extremely late to the show, and late to the party, but I’m really glad I got here."

"I’m rarely a fan of the long-form interview. I despair of podcast hosts who allow their subjects to prattle on with little heed to structure or the patience of the listener. But I make an exception for The Adam Buxton Podcast, a show that manages to make a virtue of long and meandering conversation."
