Critic Rating

Hi, I’m EmRata, aka Emily Ratajkowski. Maybe you know me from my work as an actress or model, or maybe you’ve read my bestselling book, My Body. I’m interested in marrying everything high and low-brow by talking about pop culture and happenings that may seem frivolous in a way that raises big questions. On this podcast, I’ll be talking about everything from politics, philosophy, and feminism to sex, TikTok, and relationships. Every Tuesday, I’ll host intimate conversations with special guests, including celebs, incredible authors, close friends, and people I admire. In the week’s second episode, I’l...

"It feels like you’re hanging out with people who know each other, but it’s not loosey goosey in a way that interview shows can get when friends are talking together and going all over the place. She’s very structured, and she’s strong in how she takes on questions and manages the conversation."

"(Episode: Julia Fox) EmRata and Fox touch on many topics in the interview, and they’re both wryly funny with a declarative bravado. They will escape New York’s educational pitfalls and help their kids touch grass..."

Anna Leszkiewicz • New Statesman Nov 16, 2022

"It’s a wincingly painful listen: rambling, solipsistic, repetitive and dull – full of all the worst tics of celebrity podcasts...while I don’t doubt they’ve known grim sexism, their deeply held belief that their voices must be “taken seriously” is baffling, as they show so little interest in how sexism impacts women outside the Hollywood bubble...the “radical” conversations they are having are “how change is made”. Both grandiose and trivial, self-absorbed and unrevealing, Emily Ratajkowski’s podcast is the logical conclusion of “empowering”, blinkered first-person feminism."

James Marriot • The Times UK Nov 11, 2022

"Ratajkowski promises to cover high and low culture. The difference is that she doesn’t do it as well. The other difference is that there doesn’t actually seem to be any high culture. The comparatively likeable first episode features Ratajkowski’s childhood friend Barbara. All the gaseous celebrity opining in the world can’t keep this podcast airborne, and soon the whole thing is crashing and flopping to the ground."

"Regularly seen in West Cork, the Amerian celebrity is currently hosting an enjoyable new podcast series...An interesting and increasingly common feature in podcasting will see listeners be able to subscribe to a third exclusive episode..."

"In each episode, as Ratajkowski applies a high-brow lens to “low-brow” topics, she reminds listeners that her voice is one worth listening to — and that her influence extends far beyond her image. "
