"While Ashby and Taylor’s relentless fawning over Sheen made me want to shred my own ears...the three nonetheless make a strong team, with Sheen’s connection to the area, and to Gowan, providing some emotional heft. There is much here that will make you gasp, not just at the human and environmental impact of PCBs but at the brazenness of those responsible."

"...downright jaw-dropping...What follows is a wild, horrifying investigation...."

"(Series: The Last Witness) Saying you have teamed up with Michael Sheen is undeniably more enticing. There is a lot to take on board here, but what will stay with the listener is the bleakly sobering details about trace chemicals in our water, land and food."

"(Series: The Last Witness)...bingeable on Sounds, is completely terrifying though it involves no ghosts, poltergeists or anything spooky...There is so much that is terrifying about this series, but it’s when Ashby and Taylor get proper scientists involved that you really start to feel sick. That’s how much of a scandal this is."

"Ashby and Taylor’s grim, gripping narrative includes ailing animals, a deathbed confession and heroic grassroots activism. It is not just a Northern Irish story. This ten-part series (each episode is 15 minutes) feels necessary listening."

"This is a grim story, pacily told, and it’s surely not over yet. You have a feeling it might trigger the sort of response that the Post Office scandal did: a gradual public fury that results in proper action. Let’s hope so."

"Dan Ashby and Lucy Taylor’s 10-part investigation into the scandal surrounding UK waste disposal is explosively revelatory. A shocking listen that’s a must for anyone who cares about our planet – not bad given episodes are only 15 minutes long."
