"The effect is vivacious and propulsive storytelling that gets a little hammy in the dramatised parts but is nonetheless gripping. It reminded me of Karina Longworth’s long-running, brilliantly scripted You Must Remember This podcast about old Hollywood, right down to the mannered delivery (both Behn and Longworth are fans of florid prose and slow enunciation)."
