"This sits in a different class of podcast than I normally write about- and that’s because Dallas Taylor and his team balance every moment of these productions so well. It’s put together beautifully and the information is not pretentious. It is accessible, with an honest host that obviously loves the conversations he has. This podcast is casual, gentle, and overall an excellent example of how a podcast can be simple and immensely enjoyable. Overall this is one of those podcasts that to me is a “chef’s kiss”."

"The production quality of Twenty Thousand Hertz is as glorious as the sounds it dissects on the show. With an average production time of 250 hours, each episode features seamless editing that perfectly complements the narrative. Dallas Taylor creates an intimate atmosphere for the listener; when a guest speaker talks about the components used for a specific sound, Taylor includes each component to showcase the individual units that eventually become the finished and trademarked effect. Give it a listen—you might find that the journey to create pop culture's greatest sounds is more interesting than the finished product."

"Through a carefully crafted script and deliberately placed audio, the creators draw you in, engaging your imagination and holding your attention. And they do it all through the power of sound. Much more could be said about Dallas Taylor, his team, and their exceptional show. But don’t take my word for it. Tune in, turn it up, close your eyes, and listen. What you hear will amaze you."

"What a great episode. I still haven't seen Hamilton, but I am ever so hyped to not only watch, but to listen. The amount of work put into Sound Design before and during the actual show is eye(ear) opening. So good. "
