"(Episode: Fallen Women) Fallen Women is a chilling instalment of Tortoise Media’s Slow Newscast podcast, about young women who have died falling from tower blocks. Fallen Women is a small masterpiece of podcasting: the story is expertly told and the script is moving and understated. The few production tricks, which include an audio reconstruction of Bianca’s boyfriend’s 999 call, are not intrusive or distracting. Often I get a bit morally sniffy about true crime, but Fallen Women is powered by an important moral mission."

"I didn’t find it appreciably slower than other podcasts (I half-expected slurred, woozy voices) or much longer (it’s about the same as The Daily), but it is worth your time. "

"Interweaving the personal and the structural, Paul’s story is a deeply moving tribute to Daphne and her work."
