"Already it’s shaping up to be an incisive, conversation-starting weekly show, perhaps more so for those who tend to find the financial pages a tad dry. "The Rest is Money is a charming and informative listen, with nothing that will scare its centrist demographic."

"The Rest Is Money lacks the transgressive insider frisson of previous Goalhanger shows. And Peston and McGovern are a little too media-honed. They could do with a little friction. You feel as if you’re being presented with a conversation rather than allowed to listen in on one. It’s not that The Rest Is Money is bad. Not remotely. It’s a fun and compelling show. It is easy to listen to. It just lacks Lineker’s special spice."
