"Coupled with actor and comedian Kerry Godliman’s witty narration, the snappy scripting by Kim MacAskill drives the story forward swiftly, with so many twists and turns that my mouth dropped open at several points along the way. I will mention that there was something a tad unsettling about the show towards the end, as it felt like the story..."

"...the peppy script, by Kim MacAskill, ensures we don’t lose interest. Comedian and actor Kerry Godliman narrates with a wry eyebrow raised, and the story switchbacks enjoyably. At the beginning of each episode, some unique British-isms are explained for American listeners (“Superdrug”, “blancmange”, “a marmalade dropper”), which is funny; and in the final episode the podcast brings Jill and Dean together, to talk over what happened. A coup that, true to form, doesn’t go as planned… Stolen Loves is part brilliant audiobook, part true crime doc, part great pub story. Every which way, it’s gripping."

"What distinguishes this six-episode co-production from Wondery and Novel is its knockabout tone, set by the narrator Kerry Godliman."

"...one hell of a skeleton in his closet."

"Maybe a spoiler alert is needed. I binge listened to the entire podcast, it was that good. It was done in a way that really held my attention from start to finish. By the end of the podcast I felt I knew a lot about Jill and Dean and when it ended I was convinced that they are still very much in love and their story is far from over."
