"The idea of Oprah’s new podcast is simple and, in theory, nice. It is to get “luminaries” such as Ellen DeGeneres, Jay-Z and Timberlake to “share what they’ve learnt about life”. Which would be lovely if they offered advice that felt enlightening, genuine or, at the very least, practical. Buy a toothbrush mug: you won’t regret it. Or: become an actuary. It may not impress at parties, but it will certainly pay the bills."
