"Given that personal history, I was surprised his first episode, titled Building Men of Empire, gave quite so much airtime to school prospectuses. It irks me that this series (at least on the strength of its first two episodes) discounts the female experience. I hope the third episode of this series explores that. My husband and I, both doctors’ children who boarded, now find it laughable to imagine the sums involved. We are happy with our sons’ schooling. In the state we trust."
