"Rebecca thought it was so-so. Lara found the story hard to follow, as it dovetailed into the case from "The Girl in the Picture." Toby found the series to be rather bleak, despite attempts to play up Todd's Southern folksiness. Kevin saw it as not true crime, but a story of loss, family, and identity that mirrors those of conventional adoptions."
