"They are entertainingly perceptive on subjects great (“It concerns me slightly that when Britain is playing on the global stage we seem to be playing princes and princesses all the time”) and small (“being in for parcels is one of the upsides of the last few months . . . though maybe that’s clinging to the wreckage a bit”).
