C.J. Bunce • Borg Mar 18, 2022

"They all marvel at the former SNL guests they encountered from all walks of life, from The Beatles to Lady Gaga. Listeners can tell both Carvey and Spade prepare for the show, and Carvey refers to the podcast as his new job, so it’s a step above a couple guys just phoning in an hour per week as an afterthought. They both play off each other like Abbott and Costello, with Carvey as the older mentor, and Spade as everyone’s perpetually younger brother. It’s all good and it will make you laugh, with you as the fly on the wall listening to these comedians enjoy an hour talking to each other."

"They engage in hilarious in-depth conversations...It’s immensely fun to hear the duo share their memories and sometimes drop into the classic impressions that they’re best known for. The show is a love letter to ultimate SNL fans, but Carvey and Spades’ warmth and humor make it accessible for newbies as well."

"The conversation gets deep, covering their respective years...The spellbinding element of this new podcast is the sense of legend tempered by crazy stories, pranks and, in the end, a shared affection for a TV show that has left — and is still leaving — an indelible mark on our culture."
