At the crossroads of true crime, interior design, and the paranormal, Dark House explores beautiful homes that can’t seem to escape their dark histories. Hosts and House Beautiful editors Hadley Mendelsohn and Alyssa Fiorentino dig into the twisted backstories of four infamous homes, and uncover the strange stories suggesting some inhabitants never left—and that perhaps history isn't the only thing haunting them. Featuring guest interviews with authors, set designers, psychic mediums, and paranormal investigators, Dark House uncovers why these residences, and the stories they tell us, are so important.

"As you might imagine, these are houses with questionable histories, whether they served as the backdrop for a murder or some extraordinary series of circumstances. In that sense, it’s a well-hosted show that dabbles in sci-fi, interior design, true crime, and more."

"There’s something very unserious about a person who can see ghosts, so when co-host Alyssa Florentino comes out and says she’s seen ghosts in her house since she was a child, I kind of admired her moxie. Dark House...does linger over architectural details and the eccentric figures who owned these houses and lived their lives badly enough that they are still stuck there and can’t move on to the next whatever."
