"But in our universe the BBC went cold on posh, nepotistically advanced middle-aged white men and Snow was evicted into the cold, harsh media ecosystem to hunt for himself. . . . And he thrived. Snow hasn’t changed, though. The spirit of BBC Two lives on in History Hit. Content-wise, this is a podcast for people who like their history in big meaty slabs of manly facts. This is not my thing (give me Dominic Sandbrook and Tom Holland’s show The Rest is History any day of the week), but I get that people want a man like Snow to deliver information efficiently and digestibly. …"
