Our family members are not always who we think. When Eleonore Richland exposed her father’s dark legacy, she vowed to clean up the family business – and hired her half-brother, Santino Reyes, to help her do it. But old habits die hard. In the shocking new third season, Eleonore reckons with what her father always taught her growing up: medicine is a bloody business. From Wondery, the makers of “The Shrink Next Door” and “Dr. Death,” Blood Ties stars Gillian Jacobs (Community, Love), Christian Navarro (13 Reasons Why), and Peter Stormare.Binge all episodes of Blood Ties exclusively and ad-free by joining Wond...

"...so binge-worthy that its two seasons may last you only a day. "

"If you think you’ve guessed the next three twists in this story, you likely have because Blood Ties is, at best, empty junk food and a cash grab. At worst, however, Blood Ties continues a long trend of using shock tactics and glossy audio to create a story with little care for what goes into it, ignoring the true strengths of podcasting as a medium. There’s a vast difference between honestly engaging with the topic of sexual assault and power and simply abusing movements like #MeToo for shock value. Unfortunately, Blood Ties chooses to do the latter. "

"While Blood Ties doesn’t minimise the trauma of the abused women, it is equally interested in the ripple effect of abuse. In terms of pacing, the series doesn’t always get it right. Nonetheless, the performances are strong and the production nicely understated. There’s no mystery to solve here, but the impact of a rich man’s crimes and his ability to protect himself from beyond the grave provides a special kind of horror."
