"...hilariously combines the paranormal, true crime and boxed wine. The podcasting world is full of true crime programs, but only Schiefer and Schulz make the terrifying tales something to laugh at."

"I have to confess that while I listened to the entirety of the first two podcasts, I could only stand listening to one episode of this one, despite the podcast being very popular. To be fair, I should have probably listened to a more recent episode. However, these women seemed so silly and superficial to me that I couldn’t bring myself to do it."

"I honestly love how honest and real Em and Christine you honestly feel like your sat listening to a close friend tell you a story. Overall, And That’s Why We Drink delivers some dark and disturbing material in a way that is easier to comprehend and come to terms with. I highly, recommend listening from the first episode onward because if you start with the most recent episodes you will not understand half the jokes and comments."

"Em and Christine both speak eloquently, except for when they don’t want to. Which means that they can tell a story with a straight face and proper enunciation, but there’s going to be a lot of jokes and curse words thrown in there. Their vibrant, expressive personalities are enhanced by all the milkshakes and boxed wine, and it’s going to be difficult to not burst out laughing while you listen to them say stupid shit. Overall, And That’s Why We Drink delivers some dark and disturbing material in a way that is easier to comprehend and come to terms with."

"They get off topic a lot, but the things they talk about can get really funny because they are so real and relatable. There are many plot twists and scary endings, but they’re always thrilling and if you’re into scary things I highly recommend this podcast."

"Em and Christine have great personalities that'll make listening to them that much better. Additionally, they add a twist of humor, love, and the world's cutest dog to alleviate very dark stories. And, no matter how dark and depressing the stories get, they will talk about their hilarious parents and lighten the whole situation - it's fantastic."
