"Their excellent relationships with players across the league make for affable and lengthy interviews. Episodes with Kevin Garnett, Baron Davis, and Metta Sandiford-Artest are among the most entertaining interviews you’ll hear."

"It offers a unique, engaging, and informative look into the NBA of both past and present. Jackson and Barnes create a comfortable atmosphere for their guests where they can open up in ways you don’t usually see from athletes in formal media settings. Although the guests on the show are interesting and engaging, there have been episodes where the energy level is low, and the conversations lack enthusiasm. Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson offer an insightful look into the lives of both current and former professional athletes, providing unique perspectives on their experiences that you won’t find elsewhere. They tackle topics other shows don’t touch, making it an enjoyable listen for anyone interested in learning more about the world of sports. "

"Guests like Allen Iverson, Carmelo Anthony, and Kevin Durant look like they can let their media training mask off for an hour and let loose with two guys known for being loudmouths and still being respected. All The Smoke interviews feel more like unfiltered hangout sessions between peers who speak each other’s professional language they'd have whether there were cameras and mics or not...athletes talk like they’re at the barbershop with their closest friends..."

"Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson host and as two veterans of the sport the pair know when to interject with their own personal experiences playing the game and when to lay off and let their guests take the lead. Their familiarity with their guests also provides a relaxed and chilled out environment which often leads to some great anecdotes from some of the game’s biggest names...this pod is an easy listen for all sports fans."

"Taken as a whole, All the Smoke is a riveting, absurdly profane, and often unexpectedly poignant show about basketball, weed, culture, and seemingly everything in between. As co-hosts, Barnes and Jackson are a killer combination. Barnes is piercing and acerbically funny, and a surprisingly great interviewer (albeit one who’s picked up the beat writer tic of opening would-be questions with the directive “talk about …”), while Stack freewheels between spacey and fiercely opinionated, the comic stoner to Barnes’ straight man."
