Fresh off their newly created partnership, Wondery and the creators of Morbid, Alaina Urquhart and Ash Kelley, present The Rewatcher: Buffy the Vampire Slayer podcast. Launching September 26 on Amazon Music and Wondery+, and everywhere else starting October 3.

Inspired by the beloved and groundbreaking hit television series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Wondery’s lighthearted, comedic, and fan-centric podcast is hosted by Alaina Urquhart and Ash Kelley, the voices behind the wildly popular true-crime and spooky stories series Morbid. The Rewatcher: Buffy the Vampire Slayer marks the first Wondery rewatch series, launching on Amazon Music and Wondery+ early on September 26, and on all podcast services starting on October 3.
What happens when a Buffy-superfan rewatches Buffy the Vampire Slayer with a person who hasn’t seen a single episode? Each week, listeners will follow along as Alaina introduces Ash to the World of Slay—soaking in the cult-favorite series, episode-by-episode, for the first time. They’ll break down Buffy and her crew’s vampire-battling adventures through weekly recaps, funny categories, and awards, while Ash takes some (wooden stake) stabs at predicting what she thinks will happen next.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer is an icon of ‘90s pop culture, redefining TV shows of that era. An unabashed declaration of girl power, the series offered young fans a distinctly powerful, yet relatable, teen heroine, who battled vampires while also dealing with teenage angst. Combining horror, high school romance, dark fantasy, and comedy, the series quickly became a commercial and critical hit, leading to pop culture’s current fascination with vampires. The series launched its star Sarah Michelle Gellar into superstardom, and turned castmembers Alyson Hannigan, Michelle Trachtenberg, and David Boreanaz into fan favorites overnight.
