"(Season 2) The suspenseful storytelling is still fully intact with the show heading into a different narrative arc as the podcast expands on the recent chain of events. The panorama of sound design on display remains top-tier created by the magician himself Jeff Schmidt...From my POV being from the UK the short window into the complexities of Hawaiian culture within America was the highlight of the show."

"The most important thing to know about Aftershock is that the production quality is fantastic. It’s some of the best audio drama I’ve listened to. I had some doubts about this show early on in Episode 1. The dialogue seemed unnaturally rushed, which I think is a result of needing to set the scene quickly in that first episode. Aftershock is a twisty, turny mystery podcast, in which more details coming to light in every episode. If you like the Homeland podcast, I think you’ll enjoy Aftershock."

"This team straps us in and makes us think we are coasting along, when we’re really racing to an abrupt end. This excellent writing, combined with superb acting and sound design had me leaning in and grasping at haunting imagery. The sound design being especially effective, created phantom pictures in my brain and made it tingle."

"First off, I don't listen to a lot of fiction podcasts. But since reading so many critical reviews of fiction pod sound designs, I needed to listen to this in my car. Dare I say, it was a great. The backdrop being in LA and I was driving around LA with the earthquake sounds and rumble got a little real. I kept checking my mirrors because of the sirens. As far as the story, I gotta know what's the deal with the main characters memory! That's just the first episode."
